Lawyer Representation

If the worker suffers a minor injury that only requires a short period of disability and the medical condition is not permanent, then representation by an attorney is probably not necessary. If there is a serious injury which results in an extended period of time off from work, then that person may be more successful with retaining an experienced workers’ compensation attorney.

If an injured person feels that the case does not require an attorney, then the person can represent himself/herself. If it becomes clear that the matter is beyond one’s expertise, then an attorney should be retained.
